What Vera Buy is
Vera Buy is an independent luxury collectibles advisory brand, serving collectors in Shanghai, Hong Kong and worldwide, across art, luxury and fine wine. We provide curated presentation and private sales, consignment, collection sourcing, auction-related advisory, private viewings and documentation support. We are not an auction house, not an online shop, and not an automated trading platform — behind every lot you see on this website is material organised, and conversations handled, by people.
Who is behind it
Vera Buy was founded by Cathy Wang, who serves as Founder & Chief Collector Advisor and brings six years of experience in auctions and collector services. We work in Chinese and English. Wherever you are, communication begins with an email or an enquiry form, and is answered item by item, by a person — never by a script.
How we work
In three words: organise, connect, and hold boundaries. We organise: each lot's provenance, condition, certificates and accompanying items are collected and presented as they are — without embellishment, and without hiding gaps. We connect: enquiries, viewings and confirmations with consignors are handled item by item, on the record. And we hold boundaries: authenticity and final condition conclusions belong to independent professional institutions, and we do not overpromise. Relevant commission and fees are stated item by item on the lot page or in written confirmation.
What we do not do
We do not offer online bidding or one-click checkout. We do not provide automated authentication or automated pricing. We do not promise appreciation or investment returns on any collectible. And we never present "materials available for verification" as if they were "conclusions already certified". These are not capability gaps — they are deliberate choices, made from how we understand high-value transactions.
Trust is not built by declaration, but accumulated through every instance of stating clearly what is known — and what is not.
