Transaction & Delivery Guide
Vera Buy currently provides lot presentation, material coordination and private enquiries without online checkout. The actual seller, lot, price, payment, delivery and allocation of responsibility are confirmed in writing before the buyer pays.

Hong Kong handover by default
For lots marked for Hong Kong handover, viewing or collection takes place at a Hong Kong location confirmed in writing. The address, timing, collector identification and handover record are confirmed for each transaction.
A local warehouse viewing or cross-border shipment requires separate written confirmation of the warehouse, carrier, costs, insurance, return address and transfer of risk. A warehouse is not arranged automatically based only on the buyer's country.
In-person viewing and shipment for viewing
For high-value lots, materials and the required deposit or payment arrangement are normally confirmed before a viewing appointment. Percentages, deadlines and settlement timing are stated in the relevant transaction document.
Where a buyer requests shipment for viewing, the buyer is normally responsible for round-trip transport and insurance if the transaction does not proceed. Responsibility for the one-way delivery cost after a confirmed sale must be recorded before payment and dispatch. A return caused by misdescription, transit damage or another responsibility issue is not treated as a simple change-of-mind return.
Transport, insurance and transfer of risk
Before cross-border dispatch, the parties should confirm the carrier, declared value, insured value, coverage, exclusions, receipt or refusal process and who will submit a loss or damage claim.
Paying a transport or insurance charge does not by itself allocate every transport risk. Transfer of risk is governed by the final transaction document, handover evidence and applicable law. The Vera Buy website does not act as a carrier or insurer.
Customs, duties and destination taxes
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the buyer is responsible for destination import declarations, customs duties, import VAT and local charges. The actual seller may provide accurate commercial documents or supporting materials as agreed in writing.
Import restrictions, declarations and tax rates vary by destination. Neither the seller nor Vera Buy pre-guarantees import eligibility, a fixed tax amount or successful customs clearance. Destination requirements should be checked with the buyer, carrier or a licensed customs provider before dispatch.
Invoices and local tax documents
The actual seller issues the invoice or transaction evidence according to its place of registration and the transaction. A Hong Kong company will generally provide a Hong Kong invoice or relevant commercial document.
The website does not automatically promise a Mainland China VAT invoice or a tax invoice from the buyer's jurisdiction. Any specific invoice requirement, related tax and third-party cost must be confirmed before payment.
Materials, reports and acceptance
A third-party report covers only the object, scope and findings stated in that report. It should not be read as covering every metal, gemstone, workmanship or provenance aspect of the complete piece. Where a titanium work has no separate metal report, this is stated in the lot materials; main-stone reports are reviewed according to their original wording.
If a transaction document provides a seven-calendar-day acceptance period, it should also state when the period begins and how misdescription, transit damage and change-of-mind returns are handled. Returns and remedies remain subject to any mandatory applicable law.
