MichealMcGrath Michael McGrath (b.1977) is an American artist and painter. He lives and works in Rhinebeck, NewYork's Hudson Valley. His most recent works draw in spiration from his contemporary surroundings in upstate New York and its history, as well as from his naive curiosity about the mysticism, mythology, and religious cults. The skulls and ghosts in his works represent the afterlife and death with a dash of joy and hope. Through his art, McGrath invites viewers on a journey that blurs the boundaries between life and death, reality and fantasy, and the physical world and the ethereal. His visual storytelling draws on a diverse range of sources, from pagan rituals to modern spiritualism and folklore, as well as practices like witchcraft and Ouija boards. By weaving together these diverse influences and repeating symbolic imagery throughout his work, McGrath encourages viewers to explore the unknown realm of mystery and mysticism with a sense of curiosity and playfulness, while still leaving room for light heartedness and fun.He has most recently shown work in Rhinebeck, New York, Germany, Belgium, and Beijing, China.

About Crossing Art Crossing Art was founded in 2008 and is a contemporary art gallery located in the heart of Chelsea area in New York City. Situated between West 23rd Street and 10th Avenue, it is closely surrounded by world-class art organizations.
